FOR
NEWSREADERS - RSS NEWS FEEDS
XML,
what is it? XML is an acronym for Extensible Markup Language and
is used for electronic publishing and for exchanging a wide
variety of data on the Web and elsewhere. Challenger
Learning Center uses XML for its RSS news feed.
RSS
is an acronym for Really Simple Syndication. So what does this
mean for the average web user? Put simply, this means a user can
read aggregated news from many web sites using newsreader
software for FREE.
RSS
is an option that is fast becoming popular with the general
public as it can save them time when wanting to catch up on the
news. Newsreaders can work in the background updating the news
every hour or whenever the user schedules it.
